AGIT / GIForum Poster Competition

A series of excellent poster designs had been submitted for this year's conference and thus entered into the competition. Each registered conference participant could nominate three posters, resulting in these well deserved wins:

1st (83 votes) #24 "Lions, hunger and sea monsters - assessing children´s concepts of the world with map art" by Erik Jakobi and Inga Gryl (Universität Duisburg Essen, Institut für Sachunterricht)

2nd (76 votes) #42 "WebGIS: Ein Werkzeug für den Unterricht?" by Thomas Schaupenlehner, R. Eder and B. Salak /Bundeshandelsakademie und Bundeshandelsschule Laa an der Thaya, Universität für Bodenkultur, Wien, Kirchliche pädagogische Hochschule Wien/Krems)

3rd (60 votes) #38 "Volunteers on the move with mobile GIS" by Doris Payrer and Bernhard Klingseisen (State Heritage Office, Western Australia).

Thanks to everyone participating as authors as well as with their votes, and to Hermann Klug managing the competition! We are looking forward to an equally competitive field of outstanding entries in 2017!
