GeoS4S Modules launched for free and open access worldwide!

The consortium of 'GeoServices-4-Sustainability (GeoS4S)' project is pleased to launch 20 GeoS4S Modules on an ePlatform for free and open access worldwide!

GeoS4S project has been co-funded by the European Commission within ERASMUS+ programme for 3 years from 15 October 2015 to 14 October, 2018. The Interfaculty Department of Geoinformatics - Z_GIS, University of Salzburg, Austria is project coorditnaor and the GeoS4S consortium includes 9 more universities from Europe (3), China (3) and Thailand (3) as well as 3 associate partners from these regions.

The two major objectives of the GeoS4S project are to develop case study based teaching/learning resources for 20 innovative educational modules and making these available on an ePlatform for free and open access worldwide. Each of the 10 partner institutions is responsible for developing teaching/learning resources of two GeoS4S modules. The modules have been structured to meet international standards incorporating pedagogic elements to support their delivery in classroom based teaching as well as through online distance learning mode. Further attractiveness of the teaching/learning resources lies in the fact that these support self-guided learning process of students through lessons, self-assessed exercises and instructor evaluated assignments.

(Open Access to all the 20 GeoS4S Modules available on GeoS4S Moodle Cloud Platform)

This step marks completion of the activities planned within GeoS4S project and the consortium looks forward to Geospatial education community harnessing the benefits of these resources worldwide!
